Just found the site but intersted to read of Lamb names in Dover.
It has taken me time to come to terms that My line of Lambs originated in Dover, or did they.
I have a George Lamb (born 1766)who Married Mary Mackeral in Halling Kent in 1795,he is believed to be the son of John Lamb and Susanna Rutter.
I would be grateful for any information

The Fu???? Chapman you have in the St James marriages section is actually Fuller Chapman (12 Jun 1811 Folkestone - 3 Mar 1892 Lyminge) who married Frances Ann Tams.
Excellent site.

Fantastic Website , I emegrated to the UK from New Zealand 10 years ago, and was amazed to discover, my ancestors had lived in dover, I have done much Research and have Found that Henry Cox who was the Station Superintendant at Dover priory Station in 1864, he was also a witness to a Murder in dover which I have found documented, I have some of Henry Coxs possessions, I would like to find the Historical contexts of these Items , as I see no way of contacting the Author of this site, I willleave my email address here in the hope this is read, Many thanks

Nice find. I found the marriage of Richard Puckle Cliff. Now I want to find how his Puckle name came into the Cliff family.

I am trying to put together a document out lining the origin of the name Morffew, morphew and morfew. There were several families in Dover which helps no end.
I am at present trying to find the earliest time the name Morffew or Morphew appeared in the UK.
The archives only go back to the 1800s

Thank you for your fantastic website
I have found out when and where my great great grandmother Lydia Swain was buried in St Andrews and her children baptisms and also her marriage to my great great grandfather. Looking at the other pictures of Dover and records is also very interesting from someone who does not know the area.

I suspect that the Vincent Gaybeard you have in the Parish Baptism Transcriptions is in fact Vincent Gayleard and his wife Charlotte Sarah Kay registering their daughter Charlotte
Many Thanks on an excellent site.
